We all know, there are plenty of legends about the worldwide famous & mystical region of Romania, called Transylvania. But only a few people outside Romania know that Cluj-Napoca is the home of over 1500 IT companies. In addition to that Cluj-Napoca is the informal capital city of Transylvania. Further it is rumored that 1 out of 10 people who lives in this city, works in the IT industry.

What makes Cluj-Napoca so attractive for young people?

Cluj-Napoca is the home of several Informatics Universities, one of them offering even a German line. The number of graduates is growing from year to year and it is still insufficient for the needs of the IT companies located in the city.

Cluj-Napoca itself is situated in an area where temperatures are usually mild, with no frozen winters and warm summers. The city has also a very international & multi-cultural vibe.  An indication of this is that more and more foreign students come to Cluj to study

The public university “Babes Bolyai” was ranked as the best Romanian university in the national meta-ranking of the Ministry of Education and Research (2016, 2017 and 2018). At international level, the University is ranking as one of the best and most representative universities in Romania and Eastern/Central Europe.
